Terms of Service
Last updated October 8, 2026
Who we are
Memory Lane is operated by 16873391 Canada Inc., in Ontario, Canada (“we”, “us”). These Terms are the agreement between you and us for using Memory Lane. By signing in or making a purchase, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Who can use Memory Lane
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You are responsible for keeping access to your email address secure, since that is how you sign in.
What the service does
You arrange your photos (Waypoints) in order in a Lane, and Memory Lane uses a third-party AI video model to generate the motion between each pair of photos (Legs) and joins them into a single video (a Reel). AI-generated video can be inaccurate, unexpected, or imperfect, and it may not look the way you imagined.
Your photos and your Reels
You keep ownership of the photos you upload. We claim no rights in the Reels made from them. You give us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your photos and videos, send your photos to our video-generation provider to make your Legs, and show your Lanes and Reels back to you. We do not use your photos or Reels for advertising or marketing, and we do not make them public.
What you may upload
By uploading a photo, you confirm that you have the right to use it, and the consent of any identifiable person in it where the law requires that consent. You must not upload or generate:
- sexual or sexually explicit content;
- any sexualised depiction of a minor, under any circumstances;
- intimate or private images of anyone without their consent;
- content that impersonates a real person in order to deceive;
- content that is unlawful, harassing, or infringes someone else’s rights.
We may remove content, stop a Run, or suspend or close an account that breaks these rules. To report abuse, contact us at support@memorylanelegacy.com.
Credits, Plans, and payment
Generating Legs costs Credits. You get Credits from the free signup Grant, from a paid Plan’s monthly Allotment, and from Top-ups: Credit Packs that subscribers can buy. Prices are shown before you pay, and payments are processed by Stripe.
- Allotment Credits expire at the end of each billing period. Unused Allotment Credits do not roll over, and they are spent before any other Credits.
- Credits from the signup Grant and from Credit Packs never expire.
- Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred to another account.
A Subscription to a paid Plan renews automatically each billing period until you cancel it. When you cancel, your Plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and the Subscription does not renew.
Refunds
- Failed Legs. If a Leg fails to generate, its Credits are returned to your balance automatically. You do not need to ask.
- Credit Packs. You can request a full refund of a Credit Pack within 14 days of buying it, as long as none of its Credits have been spent. A Credit Pack that has been partly spent is not refundable.
- Subscriptions. Cancelling a Subscription stops the next renewal. We do not refund, in whole or in part, a billing period that has already started.
- Deleting a Lane or your account does not refund any Credits spent on it, and deleting your account forfeits your remaining Credit balance.
To request a refund, contact us at support@memorylanelegacy.com. Nothing here limits a refund you are entitled to under the law that applies to you.
Ending your account
You can stop using Memory Lane at any time. You can delete your account yourself from the Account page, or ask us to by contacting us at support@memorylanelegacy.com. Deleting your account permanently removes our copies of your photos, Lanes, Legs, and Reels, forfeits your remaining Credits, and cancels any active Subscription immediately with no refund for the rest of the period. Copies fal holds from processing your Legs follow fal’s own retention period instead. Our Privacy Policy explains what we keep, and we complete an emailed deletion request within 30 days. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms. If we close your account because it broke these Terms, your remaining Credits are forfeited, any active Subscription is cancelled, and refunds follow the Refunds section above.
The service is provided “as is”
We work to keep Memory Lane available and your content safe, but we provide the service “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Keep your own copies of photos and Reels that matter to you: you can download a Reel at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to Memory Lane is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If we make a material change, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Memory Lane after that means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes will be heard by the courts of Ontario, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
